Support the ANS

The American Numismatic Society relies on the generosity of its friends and supporters to further the goals and build upon the rich traditions of the Society. Your gifts can have a direct and immediate impact of the quality of the Society's services. In addition, every donation, regardless of the amount, can serve as a catalyst for generating additional support. Foundations and corporations regularly look at the level of support contributed by those closest to the Society when considering extending support to the ANS.

Year End Appeal 2009

Like so many other institutions, the American Numismatic Society has endured a difficult year. Luckily for us, we had taken early steps to reduce our exposure to the stock market before its decline, as well as to reduce our expenditures. We are therefore happy to report that our financial situation is healthy, and we are set on strengthening the Society’s programs over the next few years. In order to continue our regular activities and begin implementing some of our new ideas, we need the help of our friends and members. Please consider an end-of-year gift to the American Numismatic Society and support our dedicated staff and programs such as our lectures, exhibitions and regular services to members. With your generous support, we will be able to initiate new ideas, which will make numismatic research and outreach available to more people.

Unrestricted gifts allow the Society the greatest flexibility in directing resources to our most pressing needs; however, the Society also has a number of restricted funds for special purposes, such as our library, endowed curatorial positions, numismatic education, publications, and so on. If you are interested in donating for a specific purpose, please contact the Development Office so that we can discuss how we can best achieve this goal.
