Collections Database

Access to the online version of the ANS collection database is currently in transition. Two versions are available and described below.

Old Version

The old version of the collections database is familiar to many users but has not been updated with new information since early 2008.

New Version

The new version of the collections database is under development. It has current information and provides access to all object images that the ANS makes available.

Linking to the ANS database

The preferred format for linking to individual records in the the ANS database is to use URLs of the pattern http: //numismatics.org/collection/<accession number> . For example, http://numismatics.org/collection/1858.1.1.
